Nutella Recipes French Toast
Sometimes we just need to start the day with something decadent and indulgent, like this Nutella French Toast! Made with brioche bread and stuffed with Nutella, it’s the perfect treat for a special breakfast-in-bed on Valentine’s Day or weekend brunch.
A touch of love for the first meal of the day really sets the tone for an awesome day. And for me, that love has one name: Nutella!

I mean, who wouldn’t love waking up to warm, buttery French toast oozing delicious Nutella? I know I would! And if you’re the one making it – versus the lucky one who gets to be sweetly surprised – you will be happy to know that it is quite easy to make.

That being said, if you’re one of those people that don’t enjoy a sweet breakfast, this Nutella French Toast also makes a luscious dessert. Even better if you top it with ice cream!
, always start with some sort of hard or stale bread that is then soaked in a mixture of milk, sugar and eggs, and fried on butter.
Once cooked, you top it with everything your heart desires, like powdered sugar, fruit, maple syrup or – why not? – all of them!

To make Nutella French Toast, we follow that same formula, but instead of using only one slice of bread, we use two to make a sandwich filled with Nutella. And when I say filled, I mean it! Please save your calories elsewhere. I wanna see at least 2 tablespoons of Nutella per French Toast!
I am semi-kidding, of course. Feel free to adapt this to your dietary needs! A little Nutella is better than no Nutella, after all.
The bread is the most important ingredient of any French Toast. Choose something too thin, and you’ll end up with a soggy mess. Choose something too hard, and you won’t get that delicious creaminess inside.

So what is the best bread? While lots of people will vote for challah, I really like brioche. The rich, buttery and fluffy brioche soaks the custard beautifully while still maintaining a slight crunchy texture on the outside when fried.
The drier the bread, the better. Usually a day old loaf will do, but a couple days is better. If you’re in a pinch, you can always start with a fresh loaf, slice it and dry it in a 275 degree F oven for 10 minutes or so.
I also like to buy a loaf that is not pre-sliced, so I can control the thickness of my slices. The ideal thickness for French Toast is 3/4″ to 1″ thick. If it’s thicker than that, it might not cook to the center.

Not a morning person? You can make the French Toasts the night before and then reheat it in the oven (375 degrees F for about 10 minutes) or using a skillet. I don’t recommend reheating stuffed French toast on a toaster, as the filling will drip and you’ll end up with a huge mess.
If you want to freeze Nutella French Toast, just cook it according to recipe instructions and allow it to cool on a wire rack. Then, place a sheet of parchment paper between the “sandwiches” and wrap tightly in aluminum foil. You can then freeze it for up to 2 months!French toast is excellent on its own, and it happens to be one of the most popular and sweet breakfast menu items, ranking up there with pancakes and waffles. Who is ready to get started on this delightful, simple breakfast dish? If you are, the first order of business is to take a trip to the grocery store to get all of the ingredients. It's always a good idea to check for things you may already have at home so you don't purchase duplicates.
Start in the bread aisle, and grab a loaf of white bread. You will only need four pieces, so you could double the recipe or use the extra bread for sandwiches or toast. Of course, you will also need 1 cup of Nutella. Then, head to the dairy section, and grab eggs and milk. To sweeten the toast even more, you will need some sugar and vanilla extract.

Now that you have purchased all of the ingredients, it's time to start this cooking party. Grab a dish that's big enough to fit a slice of bread, as this is also what you will use for dipping. Start with your eggs, cracking them over the side and discarding the shells. Then, pour in the milk. At this time, you can also add in the sugar and vanilla extract. Using a fork or a whisk, mix everything together well. This is the same method you would follow with any other French toast recipe, so if you've made French toast before, this should be like old habit.

Now, grab your loaf of bread and the Nutella. If you want, you can use your go-to bread instead. Brioche would be great, actually, Brookes shares. Next, spread a generous layer of Nutella on each slice of bread. If you are a lover of this fantastic hazelnut spread, you can add a little extra. Why? Because there's no such thing as too much Nutella! Then, put the two pieces of bread together to make a sandwich, and repeat with the other slices.
While it may already look good enough to eat already, there are still a few more steps you need to take. Soon enough, this breakfast treat will be ready to devour!
For this recipe, you will be using a frying pan to cook the bread. Go ahead and take out a large pan, and place it on your stovetop. Add a little bit of butter or neutral oil, and kick the heat up to medium.

In the meantime, take the Nutella sandwiches, and dip them into the egg mixture. Cover both sides thoroughly, and then place them in the pan. You can do both at the same time or alternate, depending on the size of the pan. Cook for about two minutes on each side until browned. Once the toast is golden on the outside (on both sides), it should definitely be done, and the Nutella will be melty in the middle, Brookes says. The Nutella might start to ooze out the sides a little, too.

Once you take the sandwiches off of the heat, slice them in half. These are wonderful by themselves, but Brookes recommends serving them with a dusting of powdered sugar and some fresh strawberries. We also think they would go really well with a fresh glass of milk or cup of coffee.
These are best enjoyed right away. [I'm] not sure this is [a good recipe] to store for later. [It's] probably best eaten fresh and warm, as [the bread] may [get] soggy otherwise, Brookes notes.

The problem with these Strawberry Nutella French Toast Roll Ups is that they are way too easy to make.Because frankly, let’s not kid ourselves, these are not a normal breakfast by any stretch of the imagination. I made these in the morning to take photos and as Imunched on them afterwards, all I could think was “damn, these are the best doughnuts ever”. The thought of them being breakfast never even occurred to me.

Nutella Stuffed French Toast With Macerated Strawberries
This isn’t an original recipe I came up with. I’ve seen strawberry stuffed french toast roll ups “around”, but I have noticed that they all seem to use cream cheese rather than Nutella.I tried it with cream cheese, butI much prefermaking these with Nutella because….well, Nutella vs cream cheese? Nutella wins, hands down, every single time.
It constantly amazes me that with a handful of ingredients you can whip
