Hot Wing Sauce Recipe Lemon Juice

Hot Wing Sauce Recipe Lemon Juice

Chicken wings with extra crispy skin (don’t worry, no deep fryer needed) are tossed in zesty buttery lemon sauce and seasoned with freshly cracked pepper. Wing perfection.

Take a detour from the usual buffalo wings (perfect for those who can’t eat the heat) and cook them up in the air fryer or in the oven!

Lemon

Purchase split wings (little drumsticks and the flat parts) to save time from splitting whole chicken wings yourself. These can be made with fresh or frozen wings. Frozen wings will need more time to cook.

Baked Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

These are seasoned with lemon pepper seasoning. If using store-bought, taste it before adding (we prefer homemade lemon pepper seasoning). Some brands can be incredibly salty so you might need to reduce the amount you add to the wings.

LEMON PEPPER BUTTER SAUCE Once cooked these are tossed with lemon butter and then generously sprinkled with freshly ground black pepper. SO good! If you have a pepper grinder, now is the time to use it!

Below are a few methods, we love cooking air fryer wings but we also have the secret to making wings that are actually crispy skin in the oven! If you love to deep fry, of course you can fry these wings too!

*Some brands of lemon pepper can be excessively salty. Taste your lemon pepper before seasoning the chicken and if it's very salty, reduce the amount.

Her greatest passion is creating in the kitchen and making deliciously comforting recipes for the everyday home cook! You can’t eat just one of these deliciously addictive lemon pepper wings! They’re great for game day, or serve them over Instant Pot mashed potatoes with a side of roasted broccoli for a fabulous dinner option.

I can never resist ordering chicken wings at restaurants – they’re incredibly crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside. Add a savory lemon pepper butter and you have the absolute best lemon pepper wings imaginable!

This recipe starts with party style chicken wings, which are simply chicken wings that have been cut into two pieces. I feel that party wings are easier to eat and cook more evenly than whole chicken wings. The wings are coated in seasoned flour, then deep fried until crispy and golden brown. The finishing touch is a coating of lemon pepper butter and a sprinkle of parsley. I like to garnish my wings with lemon wedges and sprigs of parsley, but those are optional additions.

Lemon Pepper Wings (oven Or Air Fryer)

My lemon pepper sauce is a simple mixture of lemon pepper seasoning and butter. Brush the sauce all over the wings for maximum flavor.

If you prefer, you can bake these wings in the oven. To make baked wings, you’ll want to skip the flour coating and instead brush your wings with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bake your wings on a baking sheet at 425 degrees F for 45-50 minutes, or until deep golden brown and crispy. Brush with the lemon pepper butter as directed in the recipe, sprinkle with parsley, then serve. You won’t get quite the same coating as you will in the frying method, but the baked version is still totally delicious!

If you love lemon pepper, you’ll adore these flavorful little wings. They’re a welcome addition to any party, or serve them up as a fun and unexpected dinner option!

Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings Recipe

These chicken wings are crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The moment they hit your table, everyone in the room is guaranteed a good time.

Unless you are at our house, in which case the wings never make it to the table—we eat them right off the sheet pan (adios, Black Pepper Garlic Chicken Wings!).

The last few times I’ve made homemade chicken wings (Korean Air Fryer Chicken Wings were the most recent), Ben has quietly devoured the entire batch right in the middle of our kitchen.

Chicken wings give off the vibe that in order to taste great, they need to be ordered at a restaurant or bar. You’d think they would be too fussy or indulgent to make a decent batch at home.

With all due respect to the establishments (ahem Buffalo Wild Wings I am looking at you), forget the restaurant lemon pepper wings.

Just like my easy baked Lemon Pepper Salmon (another great recipe if you love that flavor combo!) these easy wings come together with just 10 minutes of prep, will be on your table in 30, and bake up surprisingly crisp and juicy, no deep fry required.

Honey Lemon Pepper Wings (crunchy & Crispy)

First, the wings are baked in a mix of canola oil (great for crisping), lemon pepper seasoning (duh), and honey (for caramelization and because honey is delicious, especially with lemon).

Second, after baking, the wings are tossed with a wet lemon pepper sauce. It’s easy, and the results produce spectacular flavor without the need for a lemon pepper wings marinade.

These golden baked Lemon Pepper Wings are so easy and delicious! No messy deep fryer. Crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and ready in 30 minutes!

Cooking these Lemon Pepper Wings in the oven creates the most perfect golden brown, tender wings. Plus, you use half the oil that you would cooking them in a fryer! Not to mention avoid the mess and hassle that comes with cooking wings in oil. While they are in the oven, you can whip up some of my Homemade Ranch for a perfectly tangy match made in heaven!

While these do have a longer baking time, they are hands-off once in the oven and all you have to do is turn them at the halfway mark. You could even use that time to whip up some of my Amazing Air Fryer French Fries as a quick and delicious side!

Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings

Your wings will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container. To keep them crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, I recommend reheating your wings in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes. If you think your wings may be getting dry, you can spritz them with water before cooking. You can also reheat your wings in a frying pan or in the microwave or air fryer for a quick snack for the kids!
