Pellet Grill Recipes Wings
These Traeger Smoked Chicken Wings are seasoned to perfection using a dry rub. This spread can be made with any smoker or pellet grill for BBQs, summer cookouts, or any occasion!
I love to use party wings that are already split as opposed to whole chicken wings. Party wings will cook at a more even temperature. Feel free to use whole chicken wings if you like.

I have opted to not use a liquid marinade. If you wish to marinate, soy sauce is my favorite for chicken wings. Drizzle enough to fully coat the wings and refrigerate for an hour to overnight.
Grilled Chicken Wings On The Traeger
After the wings have gotten the amazing smoky flavors (takes a couple of hours), turn the heat on the smoker to 350 degrees. Smoke for an additional 15-30 minutes, flipping until crisp.
Frozen wings should be cooked on medium heat, around 350 and for 30-40 minutes at least until thawed. Cook time will vary. Use ameat thermometerand ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. You will also need to wait and season the wings once they have thawed some on the grill.
For cookouts, I prefer my wings without any sauce. They don’t need them because there’s so much flavor, but here are some ideas!
Grilled Chicken Wings
I like to use the air fryer, grill, or oven. I’m not a fan of using the microwave for these (there’s a change in flavor), but you can. For the grill, air fryer and oven, I reheat on 350 degrees until warm.

Traeger Smoked Chicken Wings recipe uses grilling method. It is a high temperature cooking, hence I prefer ghee instead of olive oil here.If you’re in the mood for smoked chicken wings, why not make the best crispy smoked chicken wings ever? I consider myself a connoisseur of smoked chicken wings, and the point of perfection has got to be how to achieve tender and juicy meat while getting that crispy crunchy skin on the outside. There are several methods I’ve tried and each produce the desired effect with a different cooking process.

Fire Up The Pellet Grill: How To Smoke Roast Chicken Wings
I’ve cooked wings that require a drying time in the fridge and others that are smoked and then flash fried. Both give me crispy skin, but the first method takes a bit of planning ahead and deep frying can be quite messy. The smoked chicken wing recipe I’m showing you today is by far the easiest of the bunch in terms of prep time, and it requires the least steps. And the final result is awesome: you get the perfect doneness inside and mega crispy skin outside.

It takes less than a hour to smoke chicken wings with your smoker running at a consistent temperature. For this recipe, smoke the chicken wings for 30 minutes at 250 degrees F. Next, increase the heat to 425 degrees F until the wings reach 175 degrees F internal temperature.
Crispy Traeger Wings
Make sure to use a thermometer to check for doneness (this is my favorite instant read thermometer). Wings are actually best cooked to 175 degrees F, instead of the usually recommended 165 degrees F for chicken. The higher temperature breaks down some of the tight connective tissues in wings and makes them fall-off-the-bone tender. Plus, the wings are fatty enough to stay nice and juicy.
I always recommend using flavors and sauces you like best, so when it comes to saucing up these wings, you can’t go wrong with anything you choose.

I’m a big fan of Buffalo sauce on my wings. To make awesome Buffalo sauce for wings, simply heat 1 cup of Buffalo sauce and 2 Tablespoons of butter. Warm the sauce and butter over medium heat and stir until combined. Don’t bring the sauce to a boil or the butter will separate from the sauce. If you like BBQ sauce on your wings, you’ve got to give my Apple Jalapeno BBQ Sauce a try!
