Flax Crackers Recipe Vegan
These homemade flax crackers are made with just 2 ingredients: flax seeds and water. They are low carb, keto, paleo and vegan friendly - the perfect snacking cracker recipe!
These crackers with flaxseeds require just two ingredients (flax seeds and water), are crispy, crunchy and great on their own or eaten with your favorite toppings like dairy free cream cheese or a slice of salami.

All you need to make this recipe for flaxseed crackers is flax seeds and water. However, I recommend adding salt and some sort of herb (like rosemary) for flavor.
Flax Quinoa Crackers
These homemade flax crackers require soaking the seeds, rolling them between parchment and then baking them in the oven. Here's what you need to do:
First, combine the flax seeds, rosemary, salt and water in a bowl. Stir the mixture a few times, then place it in the fridge overnight (or for at least 4 hours). The mixture gels after being in the fridge, which makes the flax seeds stick together.
Spread the flax seed mixture on top of a piece of parchment paper. Place another piece of parchment over the flax and use a rolling pin to roll the flax mixture into a large rectangle (that will fit on a baking sheet).
Lemon Rosemary Flaxseed Crackers
The crackers should be about ⅛ thick. Thicker is fine, but they will take longer to bake and won't turn out quite as crisp.
Place the crackers in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Keep both sheets of parchment in place while you bake the crackers.
After baking for 30 minutes, remove the crackers from the oven and peel off the top sheet of parchment. Pop the crackers in the oven and bake another 5 minutes.
Vegan Multiseed Crackers
Remove the crackers from the oven and cool to room temperature. Then, cut the crackers to desired size. You can break them with your hands or use a sharp knife to cut them.
These homemade flax crackers are best kept in an air-tight baggie or container at room temperature. They will last well for a couple of weeks.
These homemade flax crackers are low carb, keto, paleo and vegan friendly. This easy cracker recipe requires just 2 ingredients and is super easy to make!
Easy Flax Crackers
Baking time will vary slightly depending on cracker thickness. After they crackers have cooled, if they aren't as crisp as you would like, place them back in the oven. Bake them at 350 degrees, checking on them every few minutes.

Because let’s face it – this pandemic life calls for snacks. I’m pretty good at keeping my meals full of veggies and overall, pretty nutritious. My downfall tends to be the snacks. I’m a total sucker for salty, crunchy, savory snacks which unfortunately are often highly processed and not so healthy. These easy, gluten-free (and vegan!) Simple 4 Ingredient Easy Flax Seed Crackers are my favorite new snack. They are ready in under 30 minutes and the perfect way to get that savory, crunchy fix without a bunch of unnecessary, processed ingredients.
The best part about these crackers is just how simple they are. They have only four ingredients: roasted flax seeds, ground flax meal, everything but the bagel seasoning, and water. That’s it. I have been using both the golden roasted flax seeds and flax seed meal from Trader Joe’s. They are inexpensive and perfect for these crackers. Bob’s Red Mill also has a good option.

If you’re at Trader Joe’s, I highly recommend you pick up a bottle (or three!) of their Everything But The Bagel Seasoning. It’s really inexpensive and great on everything from avocado toast to roasted veggies. Don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you? The spice blend – which is typically a mixture of garlic, onion, sesame and poppy seeds – is becoming pretty popular and thus is available at many grocery stores (and even Costco!). Want to make your own? Here’s a simple recipe.

Ready to make some crackers? Grab a medium sized bowl, some parchment paper, a rolling pin, and a baking sheet and you’re good to go. Set your oven to 350 degrees F. In the bowl, toss the flax seeds, the flax meal, and the everything but the bagel seasoning. Give it a good stir to combine. Add the warm water and briefly to combine. The mixture will look loose and slightly watery at this point – it’s ok! Grab a cup of coffee and a good book and let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
After about 10 minutes, you’ll notice the water has absorbed somewhat and the mixture is slightly sticky, though still loose. Turn it out onto a large sheet of parchment paper. Take a second sheet of parchment and place it on top. Using your hands, gently pat the mixture into a lightly flattened sheet. Using your rolling pin, softly roll out the “dough” until about 4 mm in thickness. I use and adjustable rolling pin, which has handy thickness guides built right in. Mine is by Joseph Joseph, but this one is very similar. Slide the rolled out mixture onto a baking sheet and remove the top piece of parchment.
Easy Seed Crackers With Everything Bagel Seasoning
Pop the flax seed mixture into the oven. Bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes, starting to check it closely at 15 minutes. The edges should be just golden and crispy. Allow to cool and break up into bite sized crackers. Enjoy!
These crackers are full of fiber, omega-3s, and even have some protein. They are naturally low carb. I love to eat them plain or topped with some cottage cheese for a snack. They are great on salads or with fresh veggies and hummus. These flax seed crackers will keep in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

Psyllium Husk And Seed Crackers (low Carb, V, Gf)
Flax seed crackers and almond crackers met in this recipe and gave the best gluten-free, lectin-free, keto, and vegan crackers I’ve ever had.
These crunchy flax seed crackers with almond flour and za’atar spices are super easy to make and so crunchy and tasty. They are keto-friendly and an excellent snack for any diet. You will never want to try another recipe.

My first cooking fail when I started a gluten-free and lectin-free diet was almond crackers. I remember they came out soft, thick, and had a weird taste I didn’t like.

Later I discovered flax crackers, which were a revelation, and they didn’t need eggs. It was just a mix of flax meal and water, easy to make, but I wasn’t a big fan of the taste.
So I decided to experiment with mixing almond flour and flax seeds and adding some flavors, and that’s how these keto crackers were born.
I was amazed at how easy it was to make them. It’s easy to roll the dough out with a rolling pin and portion. And they come out crispy, how they should be.

The za’atar addition is just the cherry on top. You can add any fresh or dry herbs and spices you’d like. Onion powder and garlic powder will work if you want something more savory. I love the addition of caraway seeds and Nigella sativa seeds. But there is something about the za’atar combo that I love.
You can follow the recipe below and add the spices mentioned, or you can make a bigger batch of za’atar spice blend and use some for this recipe.
It’s so easy and so delicious; you can add it to so many things: avocado toast, salads, meats, chicken, roasted vegetables, and more.

Raw Flax Crackers & Simple Guacamole
NOTE: If they don’t get crispy after the timing I gave above, it probably means that your crackers are a bit thicker, so simply leave them longer to bake. I’ll repeat, as I burnt a few batches in the past: please stay close as they can burn fast!
