Brownie mix is just a cake mix without any leavening agent. So, with a little added baking powder and oil or butter, you could turn your fudgy brownies into a chocolate cake!

Fudgy brownies have a higher fat-to-flour ratio than cakey ones. So add more fat, in this case, we’re adding more oil and chocolate. A cakey batch has more flour and relies on baking powder for leavening. The amount of sugar and eggs does not change whether you’re going fudgy or cakey.

Leftovers are best stored in an airtight container for 4-5 days, but I would be very surprised if they last that long.

Hiiiiii! I just made this recipe, i felt kinda weird tho bc i usually make from scratch but bc i couldn't find cocoa powder (which i swear i just bought!) i tried this, I used choco-chunks and added an extra handful then sprinkled more on top(im a chocolate addict as you an see), and added a lil milk too I followed the rest of the instructions other than that. Exactly 25 mins 350 degrees worked perfect! And OMG it came out AMAZING!!!! super moist and chocolaty i 100% recommend letting cool for about 10 min! thx for the recipe!

Hi! I am still obsessed with this recipe! Lol I've tried it with strawberry cake mix and white choc chips. It was a hit! Also, I used a small cookie scoop and put in mini muffin pans. Baked at 350 for 8-10 min and it makes them into mini brownie bites!! QUESTION- best way to store these and for how long? Thanks in advance!

Allow to cool, is the operative task here. Too soon and you seem to get what appears to be undercooked mess. Fresh out of the oven could be a topping for ice cream though...

Swapped out the chocolate cake mix for the orange supreme one and added about 1/2 more chocolate chips....oh my goodness is this yummy!
