White Chocolate Grill Spinach Dip Recipe
Believe it or not, I’ve had this question from a few readers, so here is the answer! Houston’s Restaurant is an upscale American casual dining restaurant chain whose main corporate headquarters is in Beverly Hills, California.
If you google Houston’s spinach artichoke dip, you will see a slew of copycat recipes. This is because Houston’s is known for this cheesy, savory, appetizer. It is one of the most popular menu items.

My friend Sally Reiser shared this recipe in a Briarwood Christian School cookbook years ago, and it was and still is one of the most popular party food recipes in my circles. Is it the exact Houston’s recipe? I am not sure, but I can say that it tastes as good (perhaps better) to me. I’ve never served this dip that folks have not asked for the recipe.

Make ahead:This Houston’s spinach-artichoke dip is super easy to prep before a party. Simply make the dip up to the point of cooking (but do not cook). Place the mixture into an airtight canister and refrigerate a day or two ahead of time. Just before the party, spread the dip into one medium or several smaller dishes to heat before serving.
The dip can be microwaved or baked. I prefer baking, as the edges get golden and the cheese gets a slightly crisp edge. If you microwave, I suggest cooking at 80% and in 5 minute increments.
This can be made in any bakeware that is oven and microwave safe. Since this dip freezes well, you might also look for bakeware that is freezer safe. I am all about good bakeware that can transition from freezer to oven to table, and I prefer white. It always looks classic and clean on a table. I link to all of my favorite white bakeware here on my amazon page.

I serve this with baked pita chips, corn chips (Fritos scoops are great), tortilla chips or savory crackers. For low carb or Keto dieters, this is delicious served with crudités such as cauliflower, celery and carrot discs.
If you have an upcoming party, small group or tailgate, give this dip a try. I’d love to hear how it turns out, so please leave comments below. As always, thanks so much for stopping by. Hot Crab, Spinach And Artichoke Dip
White Chocolate Grill’s superb service and excellent food keep seats filled every night of the week. Dark accents give the space a ‘sexiness’ that I love. Sip on one of their whiskeys with dinner – their extensive selection is impressive.

Their restaurant week menu is also their ‘Date Night Menu’ offered year-round for a taste of most-requested dishes. Of the first course, I chose the Spinach & Artichoke Dip, a perfect shareable starter. I loved the house-made chips and oven-roasted salsa served on the side.
Seven entree course choices satisfy any appetite. I found I couldn’t choose a favorite between the NY Strip topped with steakhouse butter and the Citrus-Soy Glazed Salmon – they were both

Good. My steak was tender and juicy and the salmon was moist with beautiful grill marks. The citrus-soy marinade imparted such bright, slightly sweet flavors into the fish. The Israeli Couscous topped with roasted pine nuts is fantastic as a side.
I tasted both desserts offered and loved the Chocolate Souffle Cake the most as it’s served warm and sinfully rich. White chocolate fanatics will love their soft, signature White Chocolate Brownie.

The NY Strip and Roast Prime Rib are regularly priced at just over $26 making these two entrees a steal – especially when you factor in a large appetizer course to share (normally priced around $10) and a generous dessert.

Trendy music and a gorgeous bar with a backlit glass display make the White Chocolate Grill a popular date night spot. Masculine stone walls with dark wood panels play against the warmness of the dim lighting, romanticizing the space. Its high ceilings and openness give it an upscale, high-end feel to match the menu.
Service was warm, friendly, and attentive on my visit. Everyone who took care of us was quick to offer personal suggestions and pairings.
