Yes it’s an easy recipe but we are all only human and we all make mistakes! Well I do at least haha. Here’s a few tips to help!
Break the Kinder Bueno bars (90g | 3.2 oz or 4 x Individual) into pieces and chop each piece in half. Also break the Kinder Chocolate Bars (75g | 2.6 oz) into pieces. Set them to one side until we need them.

Add the butter (110g | 1/2 Cup) and dark chocolate (110g | 3.9 oz) into a large microwavable bowl and heat in 10 second intervals until melted. Make sure you stir well between each time and don’t over heat it.
Then weigh in the sugar (225g | 1 + 1/8 Cup) and beat well until it’s completely dissolved and it doesn’t feel grainy on the bottom of the bowl anymore.
Lastly, sift in the flour (60g | 1/2 Cup) and cocoa powder (2 tbsp). Gently fold it through until you can’t see anymore streaks of flour.

Now we have our brownie batter, let’s add the best bit! Add 80% of the chopped Kinder Bueno (save a few to push into the top) and all of the chopped Kinder Bars.
Push the remaining chopped Kinder Bueno Bars randomly into the top, then bake for 20 – 25 minutes until crispy on top but still gooey in the middle.
Hard part… let it cool completely before you even think about removing it from the tin! If you’re impatient here, things are going to get very messy indeed. Once completely cooled, remove and slice into 16 bars.

Hi Rose. Personally I wouldn’t substitute the dark chocolate for milk chocolate. It would make your brownies far too sweet. Don’t worry if you don’t like dark chocolate though, the sugar and butter in the recipe really balances it out. Emma x

Hi Mags. Yep! Brownies freeze very well actually :) Just make sure you wrap them well. (I like to double wrap to make sure they don't get freezer burn.) Emma x

Hi Yasmin. I wouldn't recommend it. It would make the brownies very thin and you'd need to bake them for less time so as not to overcook them. Emma xThese Kinder brownies are filled with chocolate, butter, and sugar to make them deliciously fudgy and moreish. Adding a layer of Kinder chocolate bars adds a white chocolate hazelnut flavour which takes these to the next level.
In a separate bowl, whisk the caster sugar and eggs until they’re really fluffy and pale. This creates a meringue-like mixture which, when cooks, creates that perfect topping.

Next, mix in the plain flour and cocoa powder. This recipe doesn’t use any raising agents because you want to keep the dense fudginess in this recipe.
It might seem like a lot of cocoa powder, but can you ever really have too much chocolate flavour? The melted chocolate create the rich chocolate foundation and the cocoa powder adds another dimension of chocolate flavour.
To make these Kinder brownies, you take 16 mini Kinder bars (I bought mine from Morrisons) and just layer them right in the middle of the brownie batter. They keep their shape when they cook so you get a lovely creamy white chocolate hazelnut layer. These almost taste like Kinder Beuno brownies!
Kinder Brownies Recipe
Pour the brownie batter into a 8-inch square cake tin which is lined and greased. 8-inch is the best size tin for these brownies as it bakes in a reasonable time and the brownies themselves are the perfect thickness.
The recipe states to bake these for 25-30 mins, but use your judgement here. You definitely want the brownies to have a slight wobble in the centre when you take them out of the oven, because they're firm up slightly as they cool down to room temperature.

If you prefer more of a fudgy brownie, bake them for 25 mins. If you prefer them more cakey, keep them in the oven for about 30 mins.

Try and wait for them to cool to room temperature before you cut them, otherwise the Kinder bars will melt everywhere! You can just leave them in the tin to cool, or pop it all in the fridge to speed up the cooling process.

This recipe uses an8x8inch square baking tin. Using the same sized baking tin is really important when it comes to baking time. If you’re using a bigger baking tin, decrease the baking time by 3-4 minutes. If your baking tin is smaller, increase the baking time by 3-4 minutes.
Yes, this is the MOST important step ! As the brownies cool down they will set and turn fudgy. If you were to slice into them whilst still warm, they will be too gooey and fall apart.

This most likely happened because the brownies were in the oven too long. Some ovens run hotter than others, which is why the baking time may not be right for everyone. Next time try reducing it by 3-4 minutes. It might also be a good idea to purchase anoven thermometer, this handy little gadget sits inside your oven and will tell you the correct temperature.
First leave them to cool completely. Then wrap each brownie separately in a sheet of clingfilm, then a sheet of foil. Place in the freezer and store for up to 1 month. Defrost the brownies at room temperature (this will take between 1-2 hours) or pop it in the microwave for 1 minute.
